Denisha Patel | Vi-Jon, Inc.

Denisha Patel is a formulation chemist in the research and development department at Vi-Jon, Inc. She received her bachelor’s degree in cosmetic science and formulation design from the University of Toledo. She worked for 3+ years on various cosmetic and OTC drug products. Denisha previously served as treasurer-elect of the SCC in 2019, and is excited to continue serving the St. Louis SCC chapter as chair.

Alex Breckwoldt | Chemia Corporation

Alex Breckwoldt is the director of research and development for Chemia Corporation, a fragrance and flavor manufacturer. He completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He began his career at Chemia as a laboratory technician and quickly rose to a leadership position. Day-to-day, Alex spends his time managing projects and personnel in the analytical, new product development, and research groups. Additionally, he works to develop the business with Chemia’s partners. Alex was previously an SCC member from 2009 to 2017, and again in 2021. Alex is excited to serve the SCC board as chair-elect for 2022.

Dale Sanson | Fresh and Clean Pet Grooming Products

Dr. Dale Sanson has been a formulation/organic chemist for over 30 years and obtained his doctorate at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He also holds BS degrees in chemistry and counseling psychology, as well as an MBA in management. He is the senior director of R&D for Fresh and Clean Pet Grooming Products. Dale is an active member and acting secretary of the board for the St. Louis SCC.

Ashley McKinney is a Formulation Chemist in the Research and Development (R&D) department at Vi-Jon, Inc. She received a BS in chemistry from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She started her career in quality control positions in the environmental and food science industries. Currently at Vi-Jon, she handles formulations from various personal care categories including hand care and pet care. She has been a member of the St. Louis SCC since 2013 and a member of the board since 2017. She is excited to continue to serve on the St. Louis Chapter SCC board as your treasurer for 2022.

Alexandra Johnson | Vi-Jon, Inc.

Alexandra Johnson graduated from Middle Tennessee as a double major in animal science and biochemistry. She currently works as a formulation chemist at Vi-Jon, Inc. In her three years there, she has worked on many different drug and cosmetic products in the household and baby categories. She has been a member of the St. Louis SCC since 2019, but this is her first year on the board and she is excited to serve as treasurer-elect.
